In case of cancellation, get your miles back!

An unforeseen event prevents you from travelling? Thanks to the Comprehensive cover, Mondial Assistance will allow you to get your non-refundable miles* back or will reimburse the cancellation or modification fees.

Thanks to this insurance, you are covered against a large number of private or professional events:

Private events covered:

• Illness, or an accident suffered by yourself or a relative.
• Delay occurring during your transportation to the airport
• Death of yourself or a relative
• Serious damage to your property or your vehicle occurring prior to departure
• Compulsory summons to appear in court as a witness or for jury service
• Visa refusal
• Vaccination contraindication

Professional or educational events covered:

• Obtaining a position as salaried employee
• Redundancy of yourself or your spouse
• Being transferred for your job
• Being called to re-sit exam as part of your higher education

Or

• A riot, a terrorist attack or an act of terrorism occurring abroad in your destination.

To cancel your outbound flight, you must first inform Flying Blue. Then, within 5 days of the event leading to the cancellation, please inform Mondial Assistance. Please make sure that you provide all necessary documents attesting to the event.

* Within the limit of the number of miles burnt of the original award ticket.

Miss your flight, not your trip.

Missed your flight due an unforeseen event? The Comprehensive policy will cover the cost of a new ticket* for the same destination for a departure within 24 hours of the original departure time!

Please note, we strongly recommend that you take all necessary measures to be at the airport before your flight’s Check-in Deadline.
Please remember that you should inform Mondial Assurance immediately in case of a missed flight.

* Within the limit of availability of the seats corresponding to the travel class purchased initially with your award ticked.

In case of health issue, you benefit from a worldwide cover including:

• Repatriation in case of an accident or illness requiring your immediate return to your country of residence for treatment,
• Medical fees for treatment overseas (up to €150,000) if your state of health allows you to be treated at your destination,
• Search and / or rescue costs
• Early return assistance.

Insure your luggage

• Your luggage is stolen or damaged; receive compensation up to € 1,200.

The Comprehensive insurance also includes

• Private liability abroad covering material and immaterial damages up to € 4 500 000
• Legal assistance abroad covering lawyers’ fees up to € 1 500 and advance bail fees up to € 8 000
