Q: Is your insurance available to people over the age of 70 years?
Yes.
Yes. There are no age restrictions relating to any of the Travel Insurance policies. Please note however, that the cover for Personal Accident to persons aged over 70 years or under 18 years of age include lower maximum benefits.
Q: What happens after I fill out the online application and give you my payment details?
If you pay online by credit card, you will receive an immediate confirmation and Certificate of Insurance via e-mail. Your policy details are immediately transmitted to our database and you are covered right away!
Q: I am currently overseas and have no insurance – can I still take out your policy?
No. Our policies are all designed to be taken out prior to your departure, and cover you from when you leave your home until you get back to
Q: Can I buy more than one policy for the same trip ?
No, you can only be covered by ONE policy for the same trip.
Q: Who can buy travel insurance?
This travel insurance is available only to Citizens and Residents of Hong Kong (including expatriates who possess a valid Hong Kong resident permit) whose journey begins and ends in Hong Kong.
Q: I am traveling for business, not for leisure. Can I still purchase a travel insurance policy?
Yes. Our travel insurance is designed for leisure and business travelers alike. As Travel Insurance is intended to cover travel as opposed to long-term residence, you should be aware that the maximum period of coverage for any one trip overseas is 90 days. Regardless of which product you purchase, the period beyond 90 days is not covered.

You will find a full definition in the “Words with Special Meanings” section of the
Policy Wording. A pre-existing medical condition is basically any condition for which you require ongoing treatment, medication, or precautionary advice and any medical condition where you have received treatment or advice within last 12 months prior to purchasing the policy. If you broke your arm 5 years ago and there have been no problems since, you do not have a pre-existing medical condition. However, if you had a heart attack 5 years ago and now take routine tests of your cholesterol and blood pressure, you DO have a pre-existing condition.
Q: Can my ‘pre-existing
medical condition' be covered?

Q: If I return home earlier than planned, can I get a partial refund on my insurance?
Sorry, but no. We will not refund any part of your premium if you cancel your cover after any part of your policy has begun.
Q: What happens if I get sick whilst overseas?
Our policies entitle you to medical assistance and cover for the costs of treatment. You are free to choose your own medical advisor or we can appoint an approved medical advisor to see you.
When you buy a policy, you're provided with a policy number and an assistance number that you can phone free of charge from anywhere around the world, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Please call us immediately if you have a medical problem whilst overseas.

Q: I have booked a trip abroad, but was unable to obtain an entry visa to that country. Am I covered?
No. Cancellation cover does not include cancellations due to the prohibitions or regulations of a government. The cancellation fees or lost deposits incurred are not covered if you are unable to obtain a visa.

Q: How do I make a travel insurance claim?
You can download and complete the claim
form from this site. This form must then forwarded to us, including original documents (such as receipts, medical reports, invoices, police reports, etc).

Q: What kind of documentation is required to process my claim?
The claim form will prompt you to send us original documents, such as reports or receipts. Typically, these documents are requirements, and we are unable to action the claim without the relevant supporting documentation. Each type of insurance claim that you can make may have a different document required (for example, medical report, invoice, receipt, police report), we will always advise you of any document required to action your claim.
